My name is George Lathbury, a portrait, live music and event photographer from Swadlincote with an Extended Diploma and Bachelor's degree in photography from Nottingham Trent University.
A bit about me, I am based in the heart of England, nestled between the borders of East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and North-West Leicestershire.
My interests and skills lie predominantly in live music, portraiture and event photography, but there are few areas I would not explore!
Since graduating from NTU in 2019, and following the Covid-19 nightmare I'm sure we would all rather forget about, I have worked as a Support Worker in the NHS, taking me from Endoscopy to Cardiology, now working for the charity Mind as a mental health Crisis Support Worker. I am currently undertaking my Master's degree as a student mental health nurse at University of Nottingham.
For the entirety of my teenage years, and for much of my early 20's, I have played in bands and been a part of the LOCAL live music scene. Music holds a very special and crucially important place in my heart.
My work has been published by Distorted Sound Magazine, entered for competitions for Toni & Guy, used for BUSINESS promotion, served as PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS and has been featured on web stores to sell products.
